Businesses

• Business information (company name, registration number, size, sector, etc.).
• Financial and operational data.
• Funding history, documents, and applications.

Grant Writers / Consultants

• Personal and professional details.
• Information about clients they manage on the platform.
• Documents and communications shared between clients and funding providers.

Suppliers (Program providers / Opportunity providers)

• Organization information.
• Program details, eligibility requirements, and related materials.
• Information received from applicants who apply to their programs.

Additional information collected

• Account credentials and activity logs.
• Uploaded documents and grant application drafts.
• Data from our GrantGPT AI and Chrome extension (e.g., autofill grant answers, stored application history).
• Usage data, cookies, and analytics for improving the Services.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Match you with funding opportunities using AI.
• Autofill and improve grant applications through GrantGPT and the Chrome extension.
• Allow grant writers/consultants to manage and collaborate with their clients (with your consent).
• Enable suppliers to publish and manage programs, receive applications, and share opportunities with the broader Happly network (with your consent).
• Provide personalized recommendations and improve funding matches.
• Improve platform performance, security, and user experience.
• Communicate with you about updates, opportunities, and support.
• Comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your data. We will never share your personal, business, or financial information with third parties unless you explicitly agree to it at the time of sharing.

Information may only be shared in the following cases:

• With Suppliers / Program Providers (Opportunity Providers): If you choose to apply to a supplier’s program, you will be notified in a dialogue box that your profile and data will be shared with that specific supplier. You must provide explicit consent before the application is submitted.
• With Grant Writers / Consultants: If you request to work with a grant writer or consultant, you will be notified in a dialogue box before any of your data is shared. You must explicitly consent before access is granted.
• With External Links or Services: If any action requires sharing data with an external service, you will always be prompted first with a dialogue box explaining what data will be shared, and you must confirm before continuing.

We will never automatically share your information without your explicit, real-time confirmation.

3a. Explicit Consent

Happly is built on a consent-first model. This means:

• Each time data may be shared, a clear notification and dialogue box will appear.
• You must manually approve the sharing of your data.
• No supplier, grant writer, consultant, or external service will receive your information unless you have actively chosen to share it at that moment.

4. Data Retention

We retain your information as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. You may request deletion of your account and data at any time (see Section 7).

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your personal, business, and financial data. While we strive to protect your information, no system can be 100% secure.

6. International Data Transfers

Your data may be stored and processed in Canada, the United States, or other jurisdictions where our partners and service providers are located. By using our Services, you consent to such transfers.
