The Reserve Land and Environment Management Program (RLEMP) supports First Nations in developing the capacity to manage their reserve lands, resources, and environment. This program provides funding to train and certify land managers, establish community lands management offices, and undertake various land management activities. By participating, First Nations can gain greater control over their lands and foster economic development opportunities. The program operates in developmental stages, allowing communities to progressively assume more responsibilities.
