The Indigenous Habitat Participation Program (IHPP) supports Indigenous communities and organizations in building capacity to conserve and protect fish habitats. This program provides funding for collaboration and engagement activities related to the fish and fish habitat protection provisions of the Fisheries Act. The goal is to foster partnerships between Indigenous Peoples and Fisheries and Oceans Canada for the sustainable management of aquatic resources.
