The First Nations Child and Family Services (FNCFS) Program supports the provision of culturally appropriate prevention and protection services for First Nations children and families. It aims to respond to children at risk of harm or maltreatment while supporting family preservation and well-being. Funding is provided for a range of activities including child protection, prevention services, post-majority support, and capital assets to ensure services are delivered in accordance with provincial/territorial legislation and Indigenous-led approaches.
