FedNor — Economic Development Initiative (EDI)

The Economic Development Initiative (EDI) provides funding to encourage economic growth within Northern Ontario's Francophone communities. This program supports projects that capitalize on economic opportunities made possible through the use of both official languages, aiming to enhance community vitality and regional competitiveness. Eligible activities include strengthening governance, supporting the arts and cultural sectors, and creating youth internships. The initiative ultimately seeks to develop enterprises and diversify the economic base of official language minority communities.
